How to Forward Message in Instagram

But what if you want to repost someone else's Instagram content to share with your followers?
Unlike other social media apps like Twitter, Instagram discourages users from sharing other users' content. In fact, they don't include any option to share posts from your feed to your profile. However, there are ways to get your favorite posts from your feed to your followers.
An easy and popular way to share other people's content is to take a screenshot of the content and share it as a new post. However, this doesn't help you share your favorite videos. Thankfully, there's still a way to get those videos out there. You just need to be a little creative.
So, having said that, let's see how to repost videos on Instagram using a few different methods.
How to Forward Message in Instagram
As mentioned above, it is not possible to repost other people's Instagram content within the app itself. Unlike Twitter, Instagram doesn't have a "Retweet" option or anything like that.
However, there are still ways to share content from other users. It's very easy to repost your favorite Instagram videos by embedding posts, sharing across platforms, sending private messages, or using third-party apps. Let's see how to do it yourself.
Share across platforms
Strangely, Instagram might not allow you to repost your favorite posts to your Instagram profile, but they do allow you to share your favorite Instagram posts to your other social media accounts. Do this by copying and sharing the URL of the relevant post. This can be done from the Instagram app or the desktop site.
Instagram app:
To share posts across platforms using the Instagram app, follow these steps:
- Find the post you want to share. Click the Options icon.
- Tap Copy link .
- Go to the selected destination.
- Tap and hold your finger on the text space to bring up paste options. Tap Paste .

Desktop site:
To share posts across platforms using the Instagram desktop website, follow these steps:
- Find the post you want to share and click the options icon.
- Tap Copy link.
- Paste this URL into the destination of your choice.
These simple steps allow you to share your favorite Instagram posts with your followers on other social media platforms.
send direct message
Instagram doesn't want a bunch of posts under your profile that don't belong to you. However, they are all about sharing cool stuff with your friends. They make it easy to share posts via Instagram Direct Message. Note that this can only be done through the app, as direct messaging is not available on either the mobile or desktop website.
- Find the post you want to share. Click the message icon.
- Click on one (or more) recipients.
- Tap Send .
If the account is private, only people with access to the account can actually view the messages. This also applies to sharing on other social media sites. Private posts cannot be shared publicly.
How to Repost on Instagram: 3rd Party Apps
In the age of social media, we now have complete third-party applications dedicated to performing basic functions for a specific social media platform. Some apps can delete posts in bulk, some can organize your feed more efficiently, and some can repost your favorite Instagram content.
In fact, there are multiple apps dedicated to this last purpose, but they all function similarly. Both, specifically Instagram's Instarepost and Repost+, work exactly the same way, and are free and easy to use. Let's take Repost+ for Instagram as an example.
- Launch the app and tap the Instagram button.
- Tap Open to confirm.
- Navigate to the post you want to share and click the options icon.
- Tap Copy link .
- Close Instagram and open the retweet app backup. Click on the post that appears. It should be the one you choose.
- Adjust the appearance of the watermark. You can change the shadow and position.
- Tap Forward .
Note that you can pay extra if you want to remove the watermark completely. However, we do not recommend this. It's one thing to share great content from your favorite users. It's another thing to try to treat someone else's material as your own.
